About the talk series:
Accelerated by the corona pandemic, museums are increasingly offering various forms of digital access to their content. From 17 to 19 November, we will talk with eleven guests from Germany and abroad about how virtual exhibitions, gamification apps, podcasts, etc. impact the museum as an institution in theory and in practice.
Do digital offerings make museums more attractive for their users? What new forms of access are enabled by virtual exhibitions and apps? Do museums reach new visitor groups? To what extent do digital offerings reinforce participation and inclusion? Do digital offerings come into conflict with the authenticity of the original?
